Meet The Artist

A prophetic dream forever altered the course of French-born Rafaele Désiré’s life. In it, she climbed to the sixth floor of a Manhattan building and stepped into a gallery filled with unfinished masterpieces—guided by a mysterious presence calling her to complete them. The next day, despite never having painted before, she enrolled at the renowned Otis Institute and began her creative journey. Today, as an award-winning author and practicing orthodontist, Rafaele brings together imagination, intuition, and craftsmanship—building a distinctive body of work that explores the luminous space where art, purpose, and transformation meet.

My Statement

My work emerges at the meeting point of dreams, intuition, and lived experience. Though shaped early on by years of medical and scientific training, creativity never left—it waited. A pivotal dream calling me to complete a gallery of unfinished paintings became an awakening, revealing art as a calling rather than a choice.

Painting is now an ongoing dialogue with the unseen, guided by intuition, symbolism, and the exploration of inner landscapes—where light, memory, and spirit converge. Life’s chapters, from motherhood to writing and professional milestones, have quietly deepened the emotional and spiritual rhythm of my work.

In 2021, studying with Iranian-born artist Freydoon Rassouli marked a renewed devotion to painting and a natural alignment with the Fusion Art movement. Within this practice, art becomes a vessel for transformation and connection—an invitation to pause, remember, and reconnect with the creative force within.
